VI. Miscellaneous

Art. 30

(1) If the professional conduct of a professional representative gives rise to a complaint, the Federal Department of Justice and Police may, after having heard the representative:

(a) give him a warning;
(b) authorize the Institute to exclude him, either temporarily or permanently, from the exercise of further activities;
(c) order the publication of the above measures.

(2) The professional conduct of the representative shall be judged in its entirety, both with respect to acts concerning deposits in Switzerland and acts concerning deposits abroad with regard to designs.

(3) As a general rule, the authorization referred to in paragraph (1), item (b), shall not be afforded to the Institute unless prior warning has proved to be without effect.

Art. 31

The Institute shall be authorized to dispatch itself the correspondence relating to the deposit and registration of industrial designs.


Art 32

The amount of the fees referred to in the Law and in this Ordinance and the conditions for paying the fees shall be determined by the Ordinance on the Fees of the Federal Institute of Intellectual Property of October25, 1995.


Art. 33 [Repealed]

Art. 34

At the beginning of each year, the Institute shall publish statistical tables setting out the number of designs deposited during the preceding year, their distribution as to country of origin, the revenue and expenditure of all kinds incurred by the Institute as also any data of general interest.

Art. 34bis

The provisions of this Ordinance shall not apply to international deposits of industrial designs.

Art. 35

This Ordinance shall enter into force on August 1, 1900.
