October 24, 2014

The JPO has been cooperating with the JICA on a project involving intellectual property rights in Vietnam, called the Project for Strengthening the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in Vietnam. As part of this project, a study group formed of members from five IPR organizations in Vietnam visited the JPO on October 24 to learn techniques for establishing national IP strategies. The five organizations are the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam, Economic Police Department, General Department of Vietnam Customs, Market Surveillance Agency, and Inspectorate of Industrial Property of Ministry of Science and Technology, which are all committed to protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights in Vietnam. During the visit, the JPO shared its experience in developing and implementing its Intellectual Property Strategic Program, as well as exchanging opinions with the group about national IP strategies.
