Delegation of Chinese Administrative Officials Visited JPO

On January 27, a delegation of 11 Chinese administrative officials visited the JPO as a follow-up program for the “Japan Human Resource Development Scholarship for Chinese Young Leaders*” which is part of the Japan-China Friendship Project by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Director-General of the Policy Planning and Coordination Department, Mr. Donoue had talks with the delegation and they shared an understanding of the importance of cooperation between Japan and China in the field of intellectual property. The JPO will continue to further strengthen cooperation with China.

Talks with the Delegation of Chinese Administrative Officials

* Japan Human Resource Development Scholarship for Chinese Young Leaders (JDS): A project of offering scholarship to study in Japanese universities for young administrative officials from the central/regional government of China, who will be the policymakers in the future. The project aims at having the participants play a central role in planning and implementing economic and social development plan upon their return to China, as personnel with expert knowledge acquired in Japan, and furthermore contribute to expanding and strengthening the foundation of the friendly relationship between the two countries, as persons with good understanding of Japan.
