15th Anniversary of IPG Activities in China

The “1st General Assembly of the Intellectual Property Group (IPG) in China for FY2015” was held in Beijing on May 14 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of IPG activities in China.

Mr. Donoue, Director-General of the Policy Planning and Coordination Department of the JPO addressed the General Assembly. He expressed his appreciation to the activities that the IPG has done in the past as well as JPO’s intent to further provide support IPG activities. The JPO will continue to support measures in the IP field taken by Japanese companies in China.

Intellectual Property Group in China (Research Group on IP Rights Issues in China): An organization, which is mainly composed of Japanese companies and associations conducting business in China, aims to make efforts for resolving IP rights issues that have become increasingly diversified in order to contribute to further development of economic interchange and partnership between Japan and China through achieving an appropriate business environment in China. The Group’s Secretariats are located in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou Offices of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
