SAARC Member States Visited JPO

July 1 2015

Heads of intellectual property offices in six member states of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan, had a meeting with JPO Commissioner Ito for the first time on June 30. They came to Japan to attend the “Head of Intellectual Property Office Conference (HIPOC) for Countries in South Asia and Southeast Asia” held this week. At the meeting, they exchanged views with Commissioner Ito regarding the issues they are currently facing and the future direction of JPO’s cooperation for their building up IP system.

The JPO will continue to advance cooperative relations with the SAARC in the field of intellectual property.
