Study Group from Vietnamese IP Agencies Visited JPO

January 29, 2016

On January 26, as a part of the project of JICA which the JPO has been partnering with, called “Project for Strengthening the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in Viet Nam,” a study group from five agencies concerning intellectual property enforcement in Viet Nam (National Office of Intellectual Property (NOIP), Inspectorate of MOST (IST), Market Surveillance Agency (MSA), Economic Police Department (EP), General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDC)) visited the JPO. The Vietnamese group learned about what kind of anti-counterfeiting measures has been taken at the JPO and how inter-agencies network has been operated in Japan. They also had an opportunity to exchange their opinions about what they learned. Furthermore, they visited the Trial and Appeal Court at the JPO, and also learned the Trial and Appeal system in Japan.

The JPO will continue to advance its cooperation for Viet Nam in the field of intellectual property.
