JPO Celebrated World Intellectual Property Day Together with Cambodian

On April 26, a symposium to celebrate the World Intellectual Property Day was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, hosted by the Ministry of Commerce. At the beginning of the symposium, H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Ministry of Commerce, Cambodia delivered welcome speech, and Mr. Masayuki Koyanagi, Deputy Commissioner of the Japan Patent Office gave speech on JPO’s initiatives under the theme of “IP Development and Automation in Japan.”

The symposium was attended by more than 200 government officials and academics, which showed high interest of IP community in Cambodia.

After the symposium, Deputy Commissioner had a meeting with H.E. Ouk Prachea, Deputy Minister/Secretary of State of Ministry of Commerce, Cambodia, exchanging opinions on a wide range of bilateral cooperation in the IP field.
