Dr. Francis Gurry, Director General of WIPO Visited JPO

On January 31, 2017, Dr. Francis Gurry, Director General of the International Bureau of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) visited Japan, and had a meeting with Mr. Komiya, Commissioner of the Japan Patent Office (JPO).

In the meeting, Director General Gurry expressed his sincere appreciation to Japan for its great contributions to the activities of WIPO. Also, he exchanged opinions with Commissioner Komiya on the cooperative initiatives between Japan and WIPO for further developing the international intellectual property system.

Going forward, the JPO, by advancing its cooperation with WIPO, is committed to contributing to the development of the international intellectual property system.
