Study Group from Vietnamese IP Agencies Visited JPO

February 24, 2017

On February 24, a deputy heads level study group from six agencies concerning intellectual property enforcement in Vietnam (National Office of Intellectual Property (NOIP), Inspectorate of MOST (IST), Market Surveillance Agency (MSA), Economic Police Department (EP), Anti-Smuggling Department, and General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDC)) visited the JPO as part of the "Leadership Training Course" of the project of JICA, which the JPO has been supporting, called "Project for Strengthening the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in Vietnam."

The study group learned about JPO initiatives for what kinds of anti-counterfeiting measures have been taken and how inter-agency networking has been conducted. The study group also presented how the enforcement agencies cooperate with each other in Vietnam.

The JPO will continue to advance its cooperation with Vietnam in the field of intellectual property.
