The Japan Patent Office (The JPO) exchanged opinions with the American Intellectual Property Law Associations(AIPLA)

Mr. Komiya, Commissioner, Mr. Koyanagi, Deputy Commissioner and Mr. Miki, Director-General of the Trademark and Customer Relations Department exchanged opinions on the latest situation of intellectual property, harmonized system in the US, etc. with the American Intellectual Property Law Association* (AIPLA) -IP Practice in Japan Committee which visited the JPO on April 24. After that, the AIPLA and working level staff from the JPO had exchange of opinions on issues surrounding the patent systems and trademark systems as well as their related efforts in both countries.

* American Intellectual Property Law Association* (AIPLA): An association consisting of approximately 14,000 attorneys who specialize in IP rights in the US.
