The JPO accepts a lot of trainees and promotes various cooperation programs mainly on human resources development.
Through the Commissioner’s Meeting between the JPO and the SIPO, which is held on a once-a-year basis, the JPO has been providing the SIPO with information about Japan’s IP strategies and measures. We have also been giving the SIPO information about how examination processes are administered and human resources are developed in the Examination Departments. |

The Commissioner's meeting has been held annually. The Information Technology Experts Meeting has been held annually since 2000, and the Trademark Examiners' and Design Examiners' Meetings have been held annually since 2001.
The JPO promotes cooperation for sharing patent search results in the examination stage as well as for digitization. As the achievement of cooperation for digitization, electronic exchange of priority documents has been implemented since 2001. |

Through the Trilateral Policy Dialogue Meeting among the JPO, the KIPO, and the SIPO, which is held once a year, the JPO has been exchanging with the other two Offices information about common issues in the three Offices, global issues in the field of intellectual property, and assistance programs for the ASEAN nations. |

The JPO promotes human resource development and information processing.
Since 2001, the JPO has been dispatching speakers to the Roving Seminars (such as on Enforcement) every year.
We also have been supporting system development in DGIP under a JICA development study scheme since 2005.

The JPO promotes human resource development and information processing. We also supported computerization of the application processing system in the DIP, as a WIPO Funds-in-Trust/JAPAN activity. |

The JPO mainly promotes human resource development and information processing cooperation. Under a JICA project-type technical cooperation scheme, we set up application processing systems for patent, utility model and design by the year 2003 and transferred sufficient technology and skills to the IPO staff to enhance modernization of industrial property administrative procedures. Since November 2004, the follow-up cooperation for this project has been carried out under JICA . |

The JPO mainly promotes human resource development and information processing cooperation. Under a JICA project-type technical cooperation scheme, we established an application processing system for industrial property rights and transferred sufficient technology and skills to the NOIP staff to enhance modernization of industrial property administrative procedures. Since January 2005, the second phase of the project has been carried out under JICA. |
