In order to use the Word Macros(for HTMLtoXML converter), your consent to all of the provisions of the license agreement as described below is required. Before installing this software, please carefully read the following license agreement. Once you have installed this software, you shall be regarded as having consented to each provision of this license agreement.
License Agreement
Article 1 (Purpose and Definitions)
This License Agreement is between the National Center for Industrial Property Information and Training (INPIT) and users.
2. In this License Agreement:
(i) "This software" is defined as Word Macros(for HTMLtoXML converter).
(ii) "Users" is defined as those who use or are to use this software provided that the users consent to all of the provisions in this License Agreement.
Article 2 (Intellectual Property Rights)
The copyright of this software belongs to INPIT.
2. This software is non-exclusively licensed by users in accordance with this License Agreement. The copyright of this software is not transferable.
Article 3 (Licensing)
INPIT grants a non-exclusive and free license to users for this software in relation to the following:
(i) To install this software in an object apparatus* (*a computer which suits environmental conditions provided in an operations manual),and to use the program on the object apparatus
(ii) To reproduce this software or the user guide for the purpose of personal use
Article 4 (Prohibited matters)
Users are prohibited from performing the activities described in (i), (ii) and (iii) as follows:
(i) To distribute, transmit or provide by any other methods all or some of this software to third parties;
(ii) To alter, decompile or disassemble a program; and
(iii) To eliminate copyright or other property-right displays.
Article 5 (Refusal of guarantee and exemption from responsibility)
INPIT inspects this software with a specific operating system and under a specific system environment.
2. INPIT takes no responsibility regardless of any cause, for those damages which were caused to users who used this software or for those damages which were caused to users based on third party claims.
Article 6 (Offer of a revised or successor version)
INPIT arbitrarily provides to users a revised version of this software.
2. Users are expected to upgrade this software to the revised version as soon as the revised version becomes usable.
3. When the revised version of software becomes usable, the conditions stipulated in this license agreement shall be applied as the conditions stipulated in the license agreement concerning the revised version.
Article 7 (Period and cancellations)
The license agreement concerning this software reached between INPIT and users based on this license agreement starts when the users install this software and ends when one of the following conditions arises:
(i) The user ends his use of this software and eliminates or deletes this software from the object apparatus in which it was installed; and
(ii) INPIT notifies the user that this license agreement has been cancelled in the case where the user infringes the conditions stipulated in this license agreement.
Article 8 (Changes)
INPIT is permitted to change provisions stipulated in this license agreement or add new provisions, whenever required, without sending prior notice to users.
2. When users continue using this software after the change of provisions of this license agreement as explained in the previous section, it shall be considered that the users have agreed with the provisions that have been changed or added.
Supplementary provisions
This license agreement is effective as of May 1, 2009.
