The Japan Patent Office (JPO) and the Federal Service for Intellectual Property of Russia (ROSPATENT) commenced the PPH pilot program on May 18, 2009 in accordance with the joint statement of intent at the ROSPATENT/JPO Heads Meeting held in Moscow on April 21, 2009. The JPO and the ROSPATENT will also start the PPH pilot program using PCT international work products by the JPO from June 1, 2013.
