PPH pilot program between the Japan Patent Office (JPO) and the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO)

The Interchange Association and the Association of East Asian Relations (hereinafter referred to as “both Sides”) agreed to cooperate with each other in order to obtain necessary consent from the relevant authorities of both Sides regarding the introduction of PPH (Link to the website of the Interchange Association ( External link ) ). The Japan Patent Office (JPO) is providing maximum support and cooperation to the Interchange Association within the limits permitted by laws and regulations, and has commenced the PPH pilot program in May 2012. Since May 1, 2014, “PPH MOTTAINAI” pilot program has commenced and the trial period has been extended by three years (Link to the website of the Interchange Association ( External link )). The pilot program will be terminated on 30 April 2017. The pilot program will be extent as necessary.
