AIPLA Visited the JPO to Exchange Opinions

On April 16th, the members of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) visited the Japan Patent Office (JPO), and had a meeting with Ms. Naoko Munakata, Commissioner of the JPO. In the meeting, they exchanged views on various issues, such as JPO’s measures on issues involving standard essential patents (SEPs). Also, before this meeting, the working-level members of the AIPLA and the JPO had a meeting and discussed issues surrounding the patent and trademark systems in Japan and the U.S.
