JPO- CNIPA Heads Videoconference Held

On May 26, 2020, Mr. Matsunaga, Commissioner of the Japan Patent Office (JPO) held a videoconference with Mr. Shen, Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).

In the conference, the Heads of the two Offices confirmed the importance of continuing cooperation between the Offices for their users, even under the circumstances being negatively affected by the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), and exchanged their views on the outline and results of relief measures for filing procedures. Also, the Heads agreed to continue a wide variety of cooperative initiatives that the two Offices have been conducting.
