After getting out to the ground from Exit A-13, please go straight and cross the street at the first signal after passing by the building of the Ministry of Finance (MOF). Please keep walking along the Sotobori Street afterwards, passing by the building of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Science and Technology (MEXT), and the Kasumigaseki Building. Please cross the road at the first signal right after passing by the Tokyo Club Building. Continue to walk until you will see the main entrance of the JPO building on your right hand, right before you will hit the intersection “Tokkyocho” (which means Japan Patent Office in Japanese).
After getting out to the ground from Exit 3, please walk to the left and turn to the left when you hit the intersection named “Prime Minister’s Office.” (It is a long down slope.)
After passing by the Cabinet Office Building and crossing the intersection “Naikakufu shita” (which means down the Cabinet Office Building), please continue to walk straight (There are steps to go down on the way.)
Then, when you will hit the intersection “Tokkyocho,” you will see the main entrance of the JPO on your left hand.
After getting out to the ground from Exit 5, please go straight along with the Sotobori Street, passing by the building of the MEXT, and cross the road at the first signal right after passing by the Tokyo Club Building. Continue to walk until you will see the main entrance of the JPO building on your right hand, right before you will hit the intersection “Tokkyocho.”
After getting out to the ground from Exit 8, please go straight and cross a large intersection, called the “Tameike.”
Keep walking along with the Sotobori Street, and cross the street at the intersection “Tokkyocho.” Then, you will see the main entrance of the JPO on your left hand.
Monday - Friday
The JPO building is gray-colored with 16 stories.
There is a security area at the entrance for the purpose of enhancing security measures. Before you enter the building, you need to register at the reception counter at the main entrance (the South Entrance on the Sotobori Street) to receive a temporary visitor card. Please note that you need extra time to complete such procedures before you enter the building.
You have to fill out a request for entry before entering the building, but you can fill out the form in advance by clicking below, which could help save your time.
