IP5 Deputy Heads Meeting Held to Discuss Various Topics such as IP5 Cooperation on New Emerging Technologies and AI

On April 7, 2022, Mr. IWASAKI Susumu, Deputy Commissioner of the Japan Patent Office (JPO) attended the IP5 Deputy Heads Meeting which was hosted by the European Patent Office (EPO) in the form of a videoconference.

At the meeting, the Deputy Heads of IP5 Offices actively discussed various topics such as IP5 cooperation on new emerging technologies and AI as well as the details of reports from working groups. In addition, the Deputy Heads exchanged their opinions on new topics to be discussed among the IP5 and themes to be discussed at the upcoming IP5 Heads of Office with IP5 Industry Meeting in June 2022.
