JPO Deputy Commissioner KATSURA Reports on the Use of Green Technology in IP Webinar for India

The India-Japan Green Technology Workshop was held online on September 14 on the theme of the utilization of green technology by Indian companies. Mr. KATSURA Masanori, JPO Deputy Commissioner, delivered a video message at the opening session.

JETRO New Delhi and the Confederation of Indian Industry jointly organized the webinar, which drew around 150 participants. In his video message, Mr. KATSURA emphasized the importance of establishing global patent rights in order for Indian companies to expand their business by leveraging green technology.

In addition, Mr. KATSURA expressed his expectations for the renewal of the India-Japan PPH pilot program, which is a symbolic initiative in the field of IP between India and Japan.

The JPO will continue to promote cooperation with India to create an environment that ensures the prompt, smooth, and appropriate protection of IP.
