Online Workshop on Quality User Satisfaction with the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) Was Held

On October 13, as part of cooperative activities in the field of intellectual property between the Japan Patent Office (JPO) and SAIP, a workshop on quality user satisfaction was held online. In which, officials from both offices in charge of quality management for patent examination participated.

At the workshop, after opening remarks of representatives from both offices, specific initiatives by both offices were introduced including the overall of quality management systems and processes of quality assurance / audit performed by quality management officers. Thanks to this, mutual understanding of the actual state of quality management in patent examination was deepened. In addition, towards improving examination quality, participants had a lively exchange of opinions on what points should be focused on in the future, especially from the perspective of user satisfaction.

Through further cooperation with IP offices in the Middle East, the JPO continues to promote the development of an environment in which intellectual properties can be secured promptly and smoothly as well as protected appropriately in the region.
