The JPO Commissioner Hamano Delivered a Keynote Speech at the IPBC Asia

On November 1, 2022, Mr. Hamano, Commissioner of the Japan Patent Office (JPO), delivered a keynote address at IPBC Asia 2022 in Tokyo.
The "IPBC Asia 2022" is an international event for intellectual property professionals. The topics discussed included the impact of the everchanging global marketplace on IP utilization and how to maximize the value of IP.

In his speech, Commissioner Hamano introduced recent IP filing trends, Green Transformation Technologies Inventory (GXTI) and efforts regarding Standard Essential Patents (SEP) to support business strategies, as well as how to utilize Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) for building a global IP portfolio.
