JPO and Cambodian MoC hold joint follow-up seminar on 25 October

November 16, 2022

The Japan Patent Office (JPO) and Cambodian Ministry of Commerce (MoC) Co-hosted Follow-up Seminar in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on October 25, 2022.

Approximately 60 individuals consisting of members from the Cambodian Government as well as IP professionals from universities, research institutes, and law firms in Cambodia attended a follow-up seminar on the theme of Trademark Registration and IP Administrative Law Enforcement Mechanisms. The attendees deepened their understanding about procedures for registering trademarks, conducting anti-counterfeiting measures, and administering enforcement mechanisms against trademark infringements. In addition, they gained a better understanding about how to promote and raise awareness of IP.

Through these initiatives, the JPO will continue to support the continuous self-sustaining development and improvement of the IP environment in developing countries such as Cambodia, thereby promoting an environment in which the intellectual property of Japanese companies can be quickly and smoothly secured and properly protected in developing countries.
