IP5 Deputy Heads Meeting Held on Topics Including IP5 Engagement with Industry

On April 19, 2023, Mr. KATSURA Masanori, Deputy Commissioner of the Japan Patent Office (JPO), attended the IP5 Deputy Heads Meeting hosted as a videoconference by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

During the meeting, the Deputy Heads of IP5 Offices held a lively discussion covering topics such as IP5 engagement with industry, as well as the details of working group reports. In addition, the Deputy Heads exchanged opinions on IP5 cooperation in the area of new emerging technologies and AI, as well as the topics to be discussed at the upcoming IP5 Heads of Office with IP5 Industry Meeting in June 2023.
