The 5th TRIPO Trademark Expert Meeting and User Symposium Held

The Japan Patent Office (JPO) hosted the 5th TRIPO Trademark Expert Meeting with the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) on October 16 in order to exchange information on the status of trademark act revisions in each of the three countries.

A User Symposium was also held on the same day for the users of each country. It was attended by approximately 80 people, and presentations were made on themes related to the latest developments of the trademark system and proving use of trademarks.

The JPO will continue to promote a cooperative relationship with the CNIPA and the KIPO, as well as to proactively disseminate information to users.
