Exchanged views with the IP-related government officials of Saudi Arabia

At the time of the invitation program of the International Intellectual Property Protection Forum (IIPPF)^* for officials of Saudi Arabian IP-related government agencies held from November 14 to 17, 2023, the Japan Patent Office (JPO) exchanged views with them.

The officials of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) and the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) who play an important role in enforcing rights under intellectual property rights in Saudi Arabia were invited to this invitation program, and actively exchanged views on anti-counterfeiting measures and awareness campaigns for consumers with government agencies such as the JPO, Tokyo Customs and Metropolitan Police Department, and IIPPF participating companies.

The JPO will continue to deepen its cooperation with the governments of each country and work on international countermeasures against counterfeit products.
