The deliverables of the branding research project in Cambodia have been handed over to the Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce (MOC)

On July 26, 2024, Ms. YOSHINO, Director of the International Cooperation Division of the Japan Patent Office (JPO), participated in the handover ceremony of the Branding Research Project held in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.

During the ceremony, the completion of the research project^* on branding strategy conducted by ERIA (the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia) in cooperation with the JPO in Cambodia, was reported on, and the report itself, which is the deliverables of the project, was handed over by ERIA to the Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce in the presence of the parties concerned, including the JPO.

The JPO will continue to cooperate with ERIA on developing and strengthening the IP environment in Cambodia and other countries in the region.

* On March 30, 2023, the JPO agreed to cooperate with the Cambodian government and ERIA on a branding research project and an IP awareness project and a signing ceremony for the memorandum of cooperation was held among the three parties.
