The 6th TRIPO Trademark Expert Meeting and User Symposium Held

On August 28th, the 6th TRIPO Trademark Expert Meeting was held in Seoul, South Korea, where the Japan Patent Office (JPO) exchanged information with the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) on the latest measures taken by each office and the contents of recent revisions to the Trademark Act in each of the three countries.

A User Symposium was also held on the same day for the users of each country. It was attended by approximately 100 people online, and each office made presentations on themes related to the latest initiatives and protection of well-known trademarks.

The JPO will continue to promote a cooperative relationship with the CNIPA and the KIPO, as well as to proactively disseminate information to users.
