JPO and Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) Hold Joint Follow-up Seminar

The Japan Patent Office (JPO) and the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) co-hosted a follow-up seminar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 6, 2024. The seminar was aimed at Malaysian alumni of the JPO/IPR training courses.

Under the theme of patent opposition systems, the seminar was attended by approximately 100 intellectual property stakeholders from MyIPO, universities, research institutions and law firms. Participants deepened their understanding of recent trends in intellectual property policies in both countries, particularly with respect to patent opposition systems.

The JPO will continue to support the development and improvement of the intellectual property environments in Malaysia and other countries in order to ensure the prompt, smooth acquisition of intellectual property rights, as well as appropriate protection in this regard.
