The 5th JPO-DPIIT Review Meeting Held

On December 13, 2024, Mr. Kitamura, Director-General of the Patent Examination Department (Chemistry, Life Science and Material Science) of the JPO, held the 5th JPO-DPIIT Review Meeting with Dr. Pande, Additional Secretary of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, India.

At the meeting, it was confirmed that both countries would promote cooperation in improving the quality of patent examinations, as well as cooperation in the areas of trademarks, designs, IT infrastructure, and anti-counterfeiting measures.

The JPO will continue to deepen cooperation with India in the field of intellectual property and contribute to the development of an environment in which intellectual property rights can be acquired quickly and smoothly in India.
