The 13th “JPO-MOIP Trial and Appeal Experts Meeting” Held.

The 13th JPO-MOIP Trial and Appeal Experts Meeting (TAEM) was held between the Trial and Appeal Department (TAD) of the JPO and the Intellectual Property Trial and Appeal Board (IPTAB) of the Korean Ministry of Intellectual Property (MOIP) on November 27, 2025.

The experts discussed “Proceedings on AI-related Inventions” based on the hypothetical cases, “Hantei (Advisory Opinion)”, “Grounds for revocation of a trademark registration other than non-use and relevant cases” and “Cases on Non-traditional Marks”.

The JPO will continue to actively foster various exchange programs with other Offices in the field of trials and appeals, endeavoring to improve transparency in the dispute resolution system across the world.
