The 6th JPO-DPIIT Review Meeting Held

On December 11, 2025, in New Delhi, India, Mr. KITAMURA, Director-General of the Patent Examination Department (Physics, Optics, Social Infrastructure and Design) of the JPO and Dr. Pande, Additional Secretary of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, India, held the 6th JPO-DPIIT Review Meeting.

At the meeting, the members approved an action plan outlining future cooperation on improving the quality of patent examinations, enhancing the designs and trademarks system, countering counterfeits, and promoting innovation.

The action plan will enable us to establish an environment for the protection and utilization of intellectual property rights in India and further strengthen cooperation between our two countries.
