IP5 Deputy Heads of Office Meeting Held

The IP5 Deputy Heads of Office Meeting, hosted by the Japan Patent Office (JPO), was held online on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. The meeting brought together the five patent offices of Japan, Europe, Korea, China, and the United States, and was chaired by Mr. YASUDA Futoshi, Deputy Commissioner of the JPO.

The Deputy Heads of the IP5 Offices held a lively discussion during the meeting, covering topics such as the results of working group activities, and initiatives related to the roadmap for new emerging technologies and artificial intelligence (the IP5 NET/AI Roadmap). In addition, the JPO provided an overview of the 2026 IP5 Heads of Office Meeting, which it will be hosting later this year.
