JPO-EUIPO Trial and Appeal Experts Meeting for Trademark Held in Spain

From November 28 to 29, 2018, the first “JPO-EUIPO Trial and Appeal Experts Meeting for Trademark” was held in Alicante, Spain.

In the meeting, delegation from the JPO including Mr. Fumihiro Hayakawa, Director of the Board of Trial and Appeal and representatives from the EUIPO including Mr. Theophile Margellos, President of the Boards of Appeal exchanged information on the current status of trials and appeals for trademarks, as well as quality management etc., in each office.
