IP5 Trial and Appeal Boards User Symposium

In recent years, globalization has advanced rapidly, and the importance of intellectual property (IP) rights protection is increasing worldwide. IP systems constitute essential social infrastructure that supports innovation, and trial and appeal systems play a pivotal role in ensuring the credibility and stability of the systems. In order to formulate appropriate IP strategies and enhance predictability in the maintenance and enforcement of IP rights, it is increasingly important to stay informed of the latest developments in trial and appeal systems of each country and region.

Therefore, we are pleased to host a user symposium at which representatives from trial and appeal departments of the five IP (IP5) offices of Japan, China, Europe, Korea and the United States will deliver their latest initiatives in the field of IP trial and appeal systems, along with the recent developments in the field of judiciaries and intellectual property by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
