Quality Policy on Trademark Examination

For further enhancement of trademark examination quality, the JPO established “Quality Policy on Trademark Examination” (Quality Policy), which outlines fundamental principles of the quality management on trademark examination. The JPO will make efforts toward maintaining and enhancing the quality of trademark examination based on the Quality Policy so that trademark rights can contribute to protecting and growing the brand as well as stimulating consumer activities.

Quality Management Manual for Trademark Examination

The JPO released its “Quality Management Manual for Trademark Examination” (the “Quality Manual”).

This Quality Manual is designed to document the quality management system for trademark examination that consists of quality management and its implementation system in line with the fundamental principles stipulated by the Quality Policy.
