The JPO conducted the "JPO/IPR Training Course on Support for Small and Medium Enterprises" from October 11 - 18, 2024. A total of 23 trainees from 18 countries and one organization participated in the course, which was designed for individuals involved in supporting SMEs at IP offices and other related organizations.
The purpose of this course was to assist with considering efficient and effective awareness-raising measures and methods regarding intellectual property support measures for SMEs by sharing Japan’s experiences and challenges in this regard. The training included lectures aimed at deepening understanding of initiatives by Japanese government agencies, along with case studies on the utilization of intellectual property by SMEs, and discussions on the implementation of SME support measures in various countries.
