JPO Conducts JPO/IPR Training Course on Patent Examination Management for Managers

The JPO conducted the "JPO/IPR Training Course on Patent Examination Management for Managers" in person from July 9 to 15, 2025. A total of 21 trainees from 12 countries completed the course.

This course was mainly intended for professionals who are involved in patent examination management at IP offices in various countries, and its purpose was to enhance the required expertise for practicing patent examination management. Attendees and JPO representatives shared their experiences and discussed various issues with each other during the course, and lectures were also given in order to deepen participants’ understanding of general patent examination matters such as speeding up examinations, managing patent examination quality, general business management practices, and human resource development (specifically for patent examiners).
