JPO Conducts JPO/IPR Training Course on Information Technology

The JPO conducted the "JPO/IPR Training Course on Information Technology" from October 17 - 22, 2025. A total of 18 trainees from 14 countries and one organization completed the course, which was targeted toward individuals who are involved with IT operations at IP offices.

The course aimed to enhance the specialized expertise needed to improve the efficiency of business operations at IP offices by utilizing IT, and of IP office management based on advancing IT infrastructure. During the training, participants learned various tools for improving the efficiency of business operations including AI. In addition, they held discussions regarding issues related to developing and improving IT systems for business operations at their respective offices.

Trainee comments regarding the course included the following:

"It was interesting to learn about the current situation and ongoing transformations in IP offices around the world. Hearing about the challenges faced by other trainees and how they overcame them was inspiring, and provided valuable insights."

"I plan to utilize the knowledge and skills gained from the training program to improve the IP system in my office, enhance operational efficiency through the latest IT tools, and support policy formulation."
