JPO provided patent examination training program on AI technology for IP Viet Nam

The Global Patent Academy (GPA) of the Japan Patent Office (JPO), in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) provided the patent examination training program on AI technology to the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam (IP Viet Nam) online on November 17, 19, 24, 26 and 30, 2021.

In addition to a basic technical lecture by a Japanese AI researcher, the GPA instructor gave lectures on examination practice in the field of AI using several case studies. About 20 patent examiners from IP Viet Nam participated in the training.

The JPO and JICA continue to provide trainings on the patent examination practices to examiners in Viet Nam and other emerging countries. Through such efforts, examination systems in each country will be fully developed and strengthened.
