JPO provided patent examination training in the field of pharmaceutical for IP Viet Nam

The Global Patent Academy (GPA) of the Japan Patent Office (JPO), in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) provided the patent examination training in the field of pharmaceutical to the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam (IP Viet Nam) online on March 14, 16, 18, 22 and 24, 2022.

The GPA instructor provided prior art search exercises and discussed substantive examination practices using case studies with 16 patent examiners from IP Viet Nam. The participants enhanced their skills of substantive examination in the field of pharmaceutical.

The JPO and JICA continue to provide training on the patent examination practices to examiners in Viet Nam and other emerging countries. Through such efforts, examination systems in each country will be fully developed and strengthened.
