PPH pilot program between the Japan Patent Office (JPO) and the Indian Patent Office (IPO)

The PPH pilot program between the JPO and the IPO was terminated on November 20, 2022

The PPH pilot program between the Japan Patent Office (JPO) and the Indian Patent Office (IPO) was terminated on November 20, 2022. After November 21, 2022, the both Offices stopped accepting PPH applications based on the PPH pilot program.

Commencement of the PPH pilot program

The Japan Patent Office (JPO) and the Indian Patent Office (IPO) commenced the PPH pilot program on December 5, 2019.

The number of the requests for the PPH in each Office was respectively limited to 100 cases per year.

Both Offices started accepting 100 cases from December 20, 2021.
