FY2024 Follow-up Seminar in Malaysia (Program)

Report

On November 6, 2024, the JPO and Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) co-hosted a follow-up seminar in Kuala Lumpur on the theme of patent opposition systems. The seminar was attended by approximately 100 intellectual property stakeholders from MyIPO, universities, research institutions and law firms.

Participants deepened their understanding of patent opposition systems through lectures giving an overview of the patent opposition system, the procedural flow of patent opposition, and the merits of the patent opposition system from the users’ perspective.

Through these initiatives, the JPO will contribute toward continuous, self-sustaining development and improvement of the IP environment in Malaysia.
