FY2024 Follow-up Seminar in Viet Nam (Program)

Report

On November 22, 2024, the JPO and the Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam (IP Viet Nam) co-hosted a follow-up Seminar in Hanoi.

The seminar, themed “Protection and Enforcement of Trademark Rights on E-commerce Platforms", was attended by approximately 150 intellectual property stakeholders from IP Viet Nam, the Vietnam Directorate of Market Surveillance (DMS), and law firms.

Participants deepened their understanding of the roles that each institution should play in the future through lectures regarding the challenges of trademark infringement on E-commerce platforms, the legal frameworks and regulations of both countries, and case studies.

Through these initiatives, the JPO will contribute toward continuous, self-sustaining development and improvement of the IP environment in Viet Nam.
