JPO receives special key partner award from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines

On June 6, 2022, a commemorative ceremony was held in Manila to celebrate the 25th Silver Bright Anniversary of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).

The Japan Patent Office (JPO), which has cooperated with IPOPHL for many years, received a special award during the ceremony as one of the key partners in helping to enhance the IP system in the Philippines.

Mr. Nakata, Minister of the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines, attended the ceremony. After being presented with a plaque by IPOPHL Director General Barba, Mr. Nakata read a congratulatory address from JPO Commissioner Mori.

The JPO will continue to promote further international cooperative initiatives with IP offices of emerging countries, including the Philippines, in order to help develop their IP systems.
